Coach Fatai Ayoade:
Ayoade grew up in Nigeria, where he played semipro soccer, and came to the United States to attend Park College. At Park he was an All Region 1st Team Selection. Immediately after graduating from College, Ayoade was tapped by Jim Schwab to be his assistant at Johnson County Community College. After ten years as Schwab's assistant, Ayoade was promoted to Head Men's Soccer Coach in 2000 when Schwab started the women's program at JCCC. In his first year as a college coach, Ayoade led the Cavaliers to Regional and Conference Championships with a team composed almost exclusively of freshman (seven of whom played with the Attack 81/82 Team also coached by Ayoade). In his second full year at JCCC, Ayoade produced a team that was ranked in the top fifteen in the nation (the final poll placed them 7th), with the team repeating as Regional and Conference Champions and then going on to the District Championship and a final finish of 3rd in the Nation. He repeated this accomplish three years later in 2005, again leading the Cavaliers to the Junior College National Tournament. In seven years of collegiate coaching, Ayoade has been named Regional Coach of the Year three times. Ayoade is a team coach and camp director for Kansas City United. Ayoade and his wife, Claudia, and sons, Gavin and Cameron, live in Overland Park.
